Chelsea Banqueting Hall (16 John Islip St, Chelsea College of Arts, London, SW1P 4JU)
On the special occasion of Chu Enoki’s solo show in Europe, Chu Enoki: Enoki Chu held at the White Rainbow Gallery, London, Enoki was invited to explain his artistic career and expression identified in his work often described as iconic and employing dark motifs. Drawing on his experience as an artist coming out of post-war Japan and living through drastic social changes over time, Enoki reflected on how such surroundings made an impact upon his practice and helped mould the artist he is today.
After Enoki’s presentation, he will be joined in conversation by Dr. Lena Fritsch, Assistant Curator, Tate Modern.
This talk was organised in partnership with the Japan Foundation and Chelsea College of Art.
